Okay, so let’s return to that weekend I was in London. Told you it was a packed birthday week, didn’t I? In the midst of all my toing and froing and fun activities last week, I’d also been busy plotting and scheming over twitter to meet up with some of my fave blogging pals. After a lot of suggestions and figuring out of logistics, Francesca suggested The Troubadour at Earl’s Court and so on Saturday morning, we met there for a good old fashioned bloggers brunch.
I’d never heard of Troubadour before but it turned out to be an excellent decision and well worth the trek from Kentish Town. Francesca led me through a restaurant filled with all manner of trinkets and memorabilia into the most gorgeous hidden garden down some stairs at the back. We found a perfect little table in the corner and soon after were joined by Emily and India.
Troubadour is also great because it is CHEAP. My Honey French Toast cost £5.95 and was seriously enormous, while Francesca won bargain of the day with her toasted brioche coming in at under £3. Result!
Emily was on the lookout for a hangover cure and opted for poached eggs on a muffin with a side of bacon. I definitely had food envy – it looked great.
Us bloggers take our photography very seriously and a LOT of effort went into getting that runny-yolk money shot. Yes, we are a walking cliche – sorry not sorry!
We ended up sitting out there for hours, with the sun on our shoulders and just shaded enough by all those gorgeous trees, about anything and everything. I love meeting up with other bloggers and especially these ones are just SO much fun – can’t wait till I move to London at the end of the month (eeeee!) and we can do it more often!
This place and the food look absolutely amazing! I need to pay a visit next time I’m in London, I think! Looks like you had a really good time :) xx
LOVE! The look of concentration in my face haha! Must do again soon :)
